Morris Museum's Open Air Exhibit Of Monumental Works Features Judith Peck's 13' Tall "Humble Walker"

For its 42nd New Jersey Arts Annual, “Common Ground,” the Morris Museum invites visitors to experience a historic first: a large-scale open air gallery of monumental works on its 8.4-acre outdoor campus in Morristown, NJ. Judith Peck’s “Humble Walker” is one of the sculptures featured.
Peck’s work was selected from among 530 works submitted by New Jersey artists – one of only nine artists chosen.

The show runs from May 28th through August 23rd. Since presenting the very first Arts Annual in 1985, the Morris Museum (a Smithsonian affiliate) has been a consistent partner in this important annual program that supports the state’s artistic talent. info@morrismuseum.org
Saddle River Bishop House Show Featured 30 Works of Judith Peck
May 2026
Judith Peck, alongside sculptors Simon Rigg, and Howard Springer, were featured in a major show sponsored by the Saddle River Arts Council and Paul Larsen Gallery in Saddle River, NJ, this May and June, 2026.
Over two hundred visitors attended the show’s opening at the historic Bishop House on May 17th.

Gallerium Virtual Show “Extinction 2026” Includes Work By Judith Peck
April – June 2026
The piece was inspired by discovering a bucket of soft earthenware clay submerged under wet rags, which Peck then cast in bronze. She says she was intrigued by the way the smooth surface starkly contrasted against the broken masses heaving under the crushed mash and by the way the smooth surface became golden against the rough darker masses breaking away.
Concerning the theme of the show, Peck states:
“Artists, like most thinking people today, are keenly aware of climate change: the arctic ice melting, the drastic extremes in weather as seen in dangerous flooding, sudden and unusual temperature changes, and the ever more surprises we face with wind, rain, mud, snow and ice on a daily basis. We express this concern in whatever medium feels right, as we do other concerns that terrify, bewilder or hearten us. This is not at all to teach or preach, but to provide a moment’s personal peace of mind: getting the fear out into a tangible place where we can touch it—and feel the sense, if not the fact, that we can do something.”
Exhibizone “Stillness 2026” Features Work by Judith Peck
March – May 2026
Judith Peck’s work “The Walk” was displayed at Exhibizone’s Stillness 2026 exhibition. The sculpture depicts a man walking casually with his young child pointing out sights to their mutual delight.
Artists’ works explore interpretations of stillness – whether expressed through quiet atmosphere, emotional presence, restraint, symbolism, or contemplative space. The show is about stillness not as emptiness, but as a space filled with meaning — reflective, intimate, and deeply human. States Exhibizone: “Some artworks do not ask for attention loudly. They hold it gently, through presence, atmosphere, and the emotions that unfold in stillness. [Peck’s] piece created that kind of moment for our jury, and it deserves to be experienced as part of Stillness 2026.”
Peck’s Sculpture Exhibited at Montclair Museum
February 2026
“Elderly Lady with Pup” was on display at the Studio Montclair Leach Gallery, as part of a broad exhibition exploring the theme of freedom. The show brought together artists who invite the viewer to rethink the meaning of freedom—whether political, emotional, spiritual, or creative. Artists conveyed their perspectives through abstraction, realism, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

Peck explains: “Rocking gently in her chair, the woman sits in thoughtful reflection of her life and deeds; she thinks of the people who most mattered to her and those to whom she mattered. No longer so deeply committed to career obligations, the scale of household duties reduced, her children and grandchildren doing well on their own, she is free to sit at leisure and pursue each thought wherever it takes her.” See video for further artist commentary on “Elderly Lady with Pup”.

Judith Peck’s sculpture “Choices: The Man Woman Thing” was exhibited at the Mora Musuem of International Art in conjunction with 20 notable artists from the Sculptors Guild. The show ended in November, 2025. Click for artist’s commentary here.

September 2025
Peck’s sculptures “The Blanket” and “Resettlement” are on display at the Clifton Arts Center indefinitely.
The September issue of New Jersey Family Magazine recommended these works among the ten must-see outdoor exhibitions to see in New Jersey.
Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah, NJ

Peck’s moving monument to the Holocaust, “One Man in Memory of Six Million” was refurbished by Monument Conservation Partners and remains on permanent display at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Watch the video here.
Warwick Valley Winery, Warwick, NY
May 2025
Judith Peck’s outdoor sculptures in steel, “Fallen Woman” and “Reclining Woman,” were installed in mid May and remain on exhibit at the Hudson Valley’s Warwick Valley Winery in Warwick, NY. These works are part of the Ladies of Steel series previously exhibited at New York City’s Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, gateway to the United Nations.
Paul Larson Gallery, Saddle River, NJ
Peck’s outdoor steel work “Riverflow” from the Ladies of Steel collection was chosen by the Paul Larson Gallery for display. The sculpture remains on exhibit there.
